How educated was Sharada?
Sharada Sinha’s ancestral residence is located in Hulas, India. She was born on October 1, 1952, in the village of Hulas in the Supaul district. Her father, Sukhdev Thakur, was an officer in the education department. Sharada Sinha completed her initial education in Hulas itself. After that, she pursued her studies at the renowned University in Bihar. As per information, Sharada completed her B.Ed. after completing her 12th grade. She further pursued her education at Magadh Mahila College, Prayag Sangeet Samiti, and Lalit Narayan Mithila University. She also obtained a Ph.D. in music from Lalit Narayan Mithila University.
Sharda became famous for her songs in Bollywood.
She first sang a Bhojpuri song in 1974. In 1978, she gained recognition with her Chhath song Uga Ho Suruj Dev that became popular in every household. Sharda Sinha, renowned for Bhojpuri songs, also lent her melodious voice to some songs in Bollywood. In 1989, she stepped into Bollywood and received great acclaim.
