The fear and stress caused by the fireworks have led to aggressive behavior from the dogs. As a result, a large number of people are flocking to various hospitals in the city to receive rabies vaccinations.
Did the sound of fireworks make dogs aggressive?
According to veterinary experts, the loud noise from bursting fireworks during Diwali has caused many dogs to become fearful and aggressive. Due to this fear, they are attacking people. However, experts have also clarified that dog bite incidents occur on regular days as well, so it is not appropriate to solely blame the fireworks. According to data from the Ministry of Health, there are approximately 2.5 million dog bite incidents in India every year.
