Naga Sadhus are a fraternity of sadhus and saints. It is clear from the name of Naga Sadhu that they remain naked. Like men, there are also female Naga Sadhus but the rules for them are slightly different.
Like men, female Naga Sadhus do not remain naked. Rather they wear a ochre colored cloth, which is unstitched. It is called Ganti. Female Naga Sadhus are allowed to wear only one cloth. Also, they apply Tilak and wear dreadlocks.
Before becoming a Naga Sadhu, these women have to do tough penance and sadhana. They do sadhana by living in caves, forests, mountains etc., remain immersed in the devotion of God.
